Busey, Danko and Hudson!

 In 1989,  actor/musician Gary Busey, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson played a string of west coast dates together.  Here's a cool ticket stub from their show at The Bacchanal in San Diego, courtesy of Chance Trewet! 

Chance's father attended this show, and he shared this with me- "One of my Dad's favorite stories to tell when I was growing up was this show. Said there were breaks in the set where they could talk to the band, and had a cigarrette outside with Rick afterwards."

There is a Cripple Creek in Lake Charles, Louisiana - Kind of !

 Now this is pretty fun! We all know and love the song.  The only "Cripple Creek" that I knew of in a physical sense, was/is the one in Colorado. Not anymore!

Valentine's Day with Rick Danko at the Mangy Moose!

 On February 14,1998, Rick Danko played at The Mangy Moose in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I wasn't familiar with this venue, so I looked them up.  They have been in business since 1967, and have had a wide range of musical artists perform there such as Taj Mahal, Arlo Guthrie, Brandi Carlisle and many many more. 

 Known for live concerts, good eats, and for being the best place to get loose after a day on the mountain, the Moose quickly became THE place to go in Jackson Hole. (from the www.themangymoose.com)
